I Love Lucy

"Lucy, you got some 'splainin' to do!"

You don't find many TV shows nowadays like this anymore.
So many television shows and sitcoms are plastered with sexual themes, crude humor, and/or bad language. Sometimes it's the only way to defeat the system. You gotta watch the older shows to stay away from crap.

Les and I have been watching this show over and over after recording it on our DVR, and we can't get enough of it.

4 Years

Well, the Election is over. The side I chose didn't win. Most of us knew it before the election day, so I wasn't as down as I thought I'd be. Even then, I still cannot get rid of this sick feeling in my stomach... It'll be interesting to see what the heck Radio Broadcasters will talk about now. I had to put in the headphones at work today because everything on the air was, "Obama this, Obama that." More like Obama Nation = Abomination! Well, I wont be mad anymore, no no I wont.

Mark my words though, If his leadership in this country effects my family in any way, Oooooh Boy. I can't do anything, but my heart will for the first time in my life be filled with Hate towards the President of the USA.

In all honesty, I'm scared, seriously, and I hope everyone who I love in life is safe at the end of his 4 years.

Election 2008: The Concern

So, I've never really been a political type of guy.. Really. Mainly because I was either young, busy in high school, or else on a mission. I've never been really biased on either side, red or blue, I just figured whatever candidate that was chosen would be responsible and honor our country the best they can. I truly believe that, but mostly I wish I could believe that for the 2008 elections. I am now finding that there is a difference on who leads my country, and I think it's time for me to voice my opinions and concerns.

There are major factors and issues that have been brought up in this years election. I'd like to bring up one of these that have an actual impact towards not only me, but my family and friends of who I love and care about.

The War - First things first, I never support war in ANY way but a defensive act. I don't agree with killing another human being, and I believe that it is wrong in every way. Though, war doesn't have to always be thought as a process of killing people. In some cases yes, one country will go after another country just for the sake of land and wealth, or even just pure hatred. This is a type of war that is unjustified, and a type of war that most Americans and good natured people of the world should believe is unjustifiable... Then there is the war, in my personal belief and opinion, that is justified and honorable. It is the war that President Bush was brave enough to act upon.

People, America was under attack!! Does anyone look at September 11th in any other way?!! Please, if you do, let me know what way you look at it, because according to what I know, terrorists killed thousands of Americans, and took members of thousands of American and foreign families loved ones on that horrid and dreadful day. These are not just numbers of people. These are actual human beings who died, and died in the way of murder.

Imagine if it was a member of your family. Would you be so layed back in trying to stop terrorists? NO! Would you have not gone after and tried to find those who are responsible and could be threats for future terrorist acts? OF COURSE YOU WOULD HAVE! This brings me to the point I want to make in my blog, the biggest worry I have about who will be elected as our President and which one of these men will protect me and my family the most.

In Obama's Speech on War In 2002: "I don't oppose all wars. After September 11, after witnessing the carnage and destruction, the dust and the tears, I supported this administration's pledge to hunt down and root out those who would slaughter innocents in the name of intolerance, and I would willingly take up arms myself to prevent such tragedy from happening again."...

Prevent such tragedy again eh...? Well, lets see what he says right after this statement...

"I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States, or to his neighbors...and that in concert with the international community he can be contained.."

NO DIRECT THREAT????!!!!!!! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME.
Wake UP America. Why are there so many Americans voting for this guy?!! Really?! Because he'll give the poor more money? If that's your only reason, then your terribly choosing for the wrong reasons. This quote alone should make you think otherwise, if it doesn't, there's something wrong with the way you think, Serious... Suddam, not a direct threat... Makes me freaking sick..

McCain 2007: "I know the pain war causes. I sympathize with the fatigue of the American people. And I regret sincerely the additional sacrifices imposed on the brave Americans who defend us. But I also know the toll a lost war takes on an army and a country. We have chosen a hard road. But it is the right road. It is necessary and just. Democrats, who deny our soldiers the means to prevent an American defeat, have chosen another road. It may appear to be the easier course of action, but it is a much more reckless one, and it does them no credit even if it gives them an advantage in the next election."

Now, I may not believe every single thing McCain believes and says, but I gotta tell you, he hit it spot on here. Whether or not you think McCain has the greatest solevants for issues in this country, I know without a doubt he'll do his very best to protect us.

Recent surveys suggest that other nations welcome Obama over McCain because he's more calm and would work problems out through words... Well, what are you going to do when someone pulls a gun one of your friends or family members? Are you going let the person shoot, run off and let them get away with it, then eventually find this person and tell them "Hey man please don't kill people I love, Please..."?? Or are you going to do the honorable thing for your friend or family member to take the proper actions and work with authority in finding the killer, lock this person up and putting them away for life in prison?

I know I would choose the latter.

The Trent Duval Story

Tonight Leslie went and hung out with her mother, sister, and sisters in law. So it was just me and my little buddy all alone for the night. Well, instead of sitting around the house, we ended up going to visit my friend Ryan. His wife Megan was gone down to Gunnison, so it all worked out. Anway. Ryan, Ethan, and I began talking smack about Obama, and shared some opinions on the recent election when we decided it was time to get a bite to eat.
I gotta tell ya, I love these Western style types of burgers that have the Bacon and Deep Fried Onions. Freaking awesome.

Anyways, during dinner, Ryan began telling me a story about a little boy named Trent. He told me how this kid had been diagnosed with Leukemia (A Cancer involving your blood Cells which I don't know about very much) and that around a week or so ago was notified that he would die soon. Ryan told me that Trent made his wish (where he could have anything he wanted) and it was that any money that anyone had to offer , he wished that the money would go to his Parents to pay off their house.

Well, Ryan told me about a blog that Trent and his family had been keeping, so after hanging out with Ryan, Ethan and I headed for home, got through I-15 traffic, and I began reading Trent's amazing blog.

Often I struggle to ever show emotions to anyone but my wife, but at this time I will admit, without ANY hesitation, that the story of this little boy brought me to tears... I was truly inspired, and I admire the courage and faith that such an individual of young age, and the same goes for his family. I couldn't imagine the burden... and I cannot even think of what state I would be in if that happened to my son. I'm so grateful for what I have in life, and am so pleased with Trents story, I will provide his link, and also a link to Ryan's older brother Mike's post about Trent, which I also felt overwhelmed with. I will be forever grateful for Trent's faith, and I will remember him for the rest of my life.

Trying to fix this thing.

Well, I've been up all night trying to fix my background. I wish I could stretch that image so that it fills the ENTIRE window... If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

It's been a while, what the freak! I know I've been slacking... Whoops. Humph... Anyways, Update on life time:
  • I'm working. I make teeth, crowns and bridges to be technically correct. You might have a few in your very own mouth!
  • My Wife and Son couldn't be better. They bring joy in my life continuously. It's a good thing too, otherwise I'd be REALLY boring.
and last but not least...
  • It's time NBA season to start.

Now that we've got that covered, see ya.
